Papua New Guinea: Story & Supply
Explore the diversity of PNG’s coffees, brought to you direct from the exporters.
Past event:
Free panel discussion and cupping
We were thrilled to bring an opportunity to explore the rich stories and delicious coffees of our close producing neighbor, Papua New Guinea.
On Tuesday, March 18th, 50 attendees gathered to learn more about Papua New Guinea’s vibrant coffee-producing landscape directly from a panel of exporters and representatives from the Coffee Industry Corporation.
The event began with a panel conversation featuring coffee professionals who shared insights into Papua New Guinea’s coffee landscape, regions, histories, and coffee offerings. Each exporter had the chance to share about their work and experiences, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of this unique origin which has long been a source of quality coffee for Australian roasters.
Following the panel, attendees explored a wide range of coffee samples from these producers, tasting live lots alongside the very people who bring the coffee to market. The evening continued with lively discussions, socializing over drinks and snacks, and meaningful connections between Australian coffee industry professionals and PNG producers and exporters.
It was an exciting and uplifting event, bringing together passionate coffee professionals to celebrate the diversity and quality of coffee.
